SHORT-TERM STAFF TRAINING EVENT
BOÑAR, SPAIN,DECEMBER, 2018
This first meeting also allowed us to personally meet those teachers responsible for the project. Living together for a few days and acting as hosts allowed us to lay the foundations for a notable harmony among the partners and a good planning and programming of the prospective activities during the exchanges.
In this first meeting, the town of Boñar welcomed teachers from the three partner countries and an interesting training was carried out at the Fundación Cerezales Antonino y Cinia (FCAYC) hosted by Hilo Verde.
The course named, “Plugged into the Earth”, was of great interest and has great potential for implementation in the surroundings of the participating schools, since it offered technological solutions that facilitate some traditional activities in rural areas. It basically involved the intelligent and responsible use of water resources. While using 'open source' software, an Arduino board and an old plug, we manufactured sensors that indicate at what specific moment our plants need water, providing the strictly necessary amount of water, thus combining recycling and technology.
