"If we don't let ourselves to be touched by what surrounds us, we won't be supportive of anything or anybody".
Ernesto Sábato. La Resistencia
The school exchange association that we have created through the participation in the Key Action 229 of the program Erasmus plus funded by the European Union aims at raising awareness of the potentialities of the rural environment and promoting the roles of the intended schools as engines of sustainable and cultural development. It is within this context that we have created EUROENVIRONMENTS, a European network of cross-border cooperation among schools set in rural environments. The contact between the project partners through the eTwinning net has allowed us to consider the sinergies that collaboration provides and the benefits of internationalization to students living in isolated geographical contexts.
The exodus of the areas where our schools are nestled deeply concerns us; consequently, we firmly believe that it is essential to act so that our students may be able to envisage their personal future and that of their territories with a creative and entrepreneurial spirit.
